Cannot create Outlook signature

Symptoms

  • Try to create signature and receive an error

Solution

  1. Navigate to user’s AppData\Roaming\Microsoft folder in their N drive
  2. Right-click the Signatures folder and click Sync -> Sync selected Offline Files (you may need to do this on the Microsoft and Roaming folders above it as well)
  3. After it has synced (window won’t say it’s offline), delete the folder
  4. Close Outlook and re-open
  5. Try to create signature again

If it still doesn’t work, try changing permissions on Signatures folder to allow full access to either CREATOR OWNER or TrustedInstaller
